Threatened Trapdoor Spiders of the Avon

Trapdoor Spiders belong to an ancient group of spiders called Mygalomorphae. Some of the largest, most poisonous and most aggressive belong to this sub-order. They are largely nocturnal feeders and maters and are very hardy creatures. When prey is scarce, adult Myglamorphs have been known to fast for over a year.
